Jaun Pablo Ramirez is from Bogota, Colombia. He was a professional tennis player and grew up traveling around the world. Seeing different cultures and ways of living has always been captivating to him. He is curious about people and their behavior. He likes to compare the diverse lifestyles people have and how those affect, or benefit the world we live in. It is extremely important for him to listen and pay attention to everything that is around me before he shoots. He believes this is the only way that he can show the dignity and the human side of people in his art.

He worked for some of the most prestigious newspapers in the state of Minnesota, for example the StarTribune and the Pioneer Press, with most of his work focused on photography. Even though he had a great experience as a photojournalist, he was missing the freedom to work in his own projects. For that reason, in 2016, I decided to move to Dubai to start my personal project. In this body of work, Juan wanted to show that Dubai and the United Arab Emirates are not only luxury and 5-star resorts. They have a historical part that deserves to be shown and preserved.
