Karijn Kakebeeke (1974) completed a Masters in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam and worked as a researcher at a documentary film company before obtaining a degree in Photojournalism (distinction) at the London College of Printing. Since then she has completed photo-essays in countries such as Kenya, Syria, Russia, Sri Lanka, India, Taiwan, Kosovo, Afghanistan and Congo DR.
